It's impossible to express in words the sadness which so many people are feeling after what happened to you James, but know that everyone's thoughts are with your family whose grief most of us cannot even begin to comprehend, though we try.
It's easier for us to focus on happy memories of your life and I'm sure this is what you would want us to do. My memories will be mostly of when you first came to Williamwood High and my jaw dropped to the ground and stayed there for quite some time. Yet once you got past the handsome face and boyish charm there was an even greater personality bursting with admirable qualities...kindness, generosity and of course banter! And even though I rarely saw you after I left school I still considered you a friend, and always will.
You will never be forgotten James, rest in peace X

I can't claim to be James's greatest friend, but from what I knew of him and the times i have spoken with him, he was a great person. He is much loved by many, and my thoughts are with his family and his friends. it's a tragedy that he has been taken at such a time in his life, but the time he did have he made the most of.
RIP James. You will be sorely missed.

Although i didnt know him that well, i had chatted to him a few times and he was a really nice guy who was always willing to chat and have a laugh. Its just so shocking that he had to be taken away so early and in such tragic circumstances
Thoughts and prayers to the family and freinds.
I hope hes happy wherever he is
Andrew

When a person you love passes away Look to the night sky on a clear day. The star that to you, appears to be bright, Will be your loved one, Looking upon you during the night. The lights of heaven are what shows through As your loved one watches all that you do. When you feel lonely for the one that you love, Look to the Heavens in the night sky above.
James may be gonein body but a little bit of him lives on in everyone who knew and loved him....x

I didn't really know you James but you were in my maths class. You seemed such a great guy and for some reason news of your tragic accident really hit me hard, probably because it is such a terrifying thought that you won't be around any more. In a few words someone doesn't exist anymore ... I know everyone has said this but its because its so true. You will be sorely missed, I'll miss you strolling into Maths late and smacking Lauren on the back of the head with your bag :]
You have made a great impression on peoples lives and you will never be forgotten.
Rest in Peace x

Nelly was a great guy. Genuine and decent. Loved his team and was always smiling. Such a shock that he's gone.
He will be sadly missed from all those at Well games and Strathaven Academy. The whole of 6th year is just in shock.
RIP James

I still cannot believe that such an amazing guy has gone. I remember every moment with him, from the first time I met him, to our hilarious MSN chats, and the silly little things he said and did that just made me smile so much.
He will be missed by everyone and never, ever forgotten.
Love you Nelson, God Bless. x

When we leave this world, we leave behind only the memories, and the ones James has left behind are all great ones: hilarious SG Geography banter, Motherwell FC, lounging about the diney during study periods, being involved in the school events, and many that others will have. Memories are forever: James won't be forgotten.
I'm sure we've all learnt something about our own lives from this.
